The Dunn-Erwin Rotary Club presented scholarships to three Triton High School students at its recent meeting.
Two scholarships were in the amount of $1,000 for two recipients planning to attend universities and $500 to a student planning to attend community college.
Applicants awarded scholarships are:
Kate Perez, the daughter of Jesus Perez and Nadia Guzman, who plans to attend Central Carolina College in the spring and after two years, transfer to the University of North Carolina to become a dental hygienist.
Gabrielle “Gabby” Artis, the daughter of Ernest and Tiffany Artis, who plans to attend North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University to get a degree in nursing.
Kennady Clark, daughter of Shawn Gainey and Kimberly Clark, who plans to attend Meredith College in the fall.
Chairman of the Club’s Scholarship Committee, Kim Hargrove, presented the students their awards.
