The following food establishments were inspected by the Harnett and Johnston County Health Departments between Dec. 11-16. The grades or ratings appear beside the facility and its address.
The grading of food establishments is based on a system of scoring. A food establishment that earns a score of at least: 90 percent shall receive a grade A; between 80 percent and 90 percent shall receive a grade B; between 70 percent and 80 percent shall receive a grade C. In accordance with state law (G.S. 130A-23(d)), permits are immediately revoked for food establishments receiving a score of less than 70 percent.
An establishment receives a credit of two points on its score for each inspection if a manager or other full-time employee responsible for operation of that establishment has successfully completed an approved food service sanitation program in the past three years.
