Lisa Royster received a 20-year service award from her employer, Bojangles. She works as a lobby attendant at the Bojangles restaurant in Lillington. During her 20 years, she has served countless customers and trained new lobby attendants.

Royster began at JC Industries in 1977. During her time with JCI, she received employment services, community integration assistance and long-term employment support.

“Lisa is an exceptional person who takes great pride in her work and strives to exceed expectations,” said Jalesa Harris, JCI employment specialist. “She continually uses constructive criticism to expand her skillset and steadily learns more about company production tasks.”

Royster said she likes her job.

“I like serving customers and enjoy helping my co-workers,” she said. Royster greets everyone who enters Bojangles.

“Lisa Royster has been with us at Bojangles for 20 years! She is loved by all, from employees to customers,” said Tonye Adoki, store manager. “Lisa has been dependable and hardworking from day one. She never fails to put a smile on our faces. We appreciate everything she does here with us and enjoy her presence every day.”

The Bojangles in Lillington currently employs three JCI clients.

“We appreciate the partnership with Bojangles and their willingness to help us achieve our mission of empowering people with disabilities or disadvantages to succeed through training and employment,” said Nancy Bartholomew, marketing manager at JCI.
