Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony held for nursing grads

SANFORD — The Central Carolina Community College Louise L. Tuller School of Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing program held a Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony for the Class of 2022 on Saturday, May 14, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sanford.

Dr. Barbara Campbell, CCCC Nursing Department chair, gave the welcome and led in the pinning. Juanita Carter of the nursing faculty, spoke on the “Significance of the Nursing Cap and Pin.” Crystal Way of the faculty introduced the graduates. Special awards and presentations were led by Carter, Way and Jamie Ferguson, also of the faculty.

Student remarks were by Danielle Adkins and Marta Gonzales. Student presentation was by Elizabeth Cosimo.
