Morgan’s on Broad is celebrating more than a month in business at its Dunn shop with a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. Aug. 5.
The store offers handmade, vintage and antique items, ranging from home decor and living essentials to furniture and glassware. Although this is a new location, this isn’t a new venture for owners Natalie and Cameron Morgan.
“We started out in a store that was about this size and ended up outgrowing it,” said Natalie Morgan, co-owner of Morgan’s on Main in Benson and the new Morgan’s on Broad in Downtown Dunn.
“We actually were vendors in several places before and we started out doing that for years,” she said. “The availability came for us to take over an actual storefront in Benson back in 2013 ... and we decided to take that opportunity.”
The Benson shop will celebrate nine years in business this November in the former Woodall’s Department store building. The Morgans opened their Dunn location on June 17 and now offer vendors at both spots a chance to sell like they did starting out.
“I love what I do. If I didn’t love what I do, I couldn’t do it because it is a lot of work,” Natalie Morgan said.
Morgan’s on Broad will celebrate its grand opening Aug. 5-6.
