Miracle League among spring activities at Dunn P&R

Miracle League baseball registration is currently taking place at no charge, according to the City of Dunn Parks and Recreation.

Sign-ups are accepted throughout the week of April 25 at the Parks and Rec office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

The league gives children ages 5 and older with cognitive and/or physical disabilities the opportunity to play baseball in an organized, non-competitive environment.

Games are conducted on a safe, accessible field with a synthetic surface.  Each player is paired with a partner who assists in hitting and running bases. 

 The intended start date for games is scheduled for early May.

Walking, basketball free play

The Dr. P.K. Vyas Recreation Center is open during the spring for various activities set up for all ages. 

Walking and Pickleball is held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Basketball free play is also available. Ages 14 to 17 can compete from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday. Tuesday is reserved for Ages 11 to 13 and Thursday is designated for ages 10 and under.
