Allison Ann Hewitt and Matthew Ryan Poling were united in marriage at Timberlake Earth Sanctuary in Whitsett, North Carolina. Pete Caponi officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kathy Hewitt of Loxahatchee, Florida, and the late James Hewitt. She is the granddaughter of the late Virgil and Margaret Hewitt of Homer, Michigan and the late Curtis and Ann Higgins of Hale, Michigan.

She is a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. She is a project manager with Acousti Engineering Co. in Garner.

The groom is the son of Gary and Cheryl Poling of Lillington. He is the grandson of Pearl Poling of Haines City, Florida, and the late Harry Poling and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl B. Slater of Linthicum, Maryland.

He is a graduate of Guilford College with a bachelor’s degree in computer information and technology. He is a professional solar closer with Nova Solar of Raleigh.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother.

Attendants

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Madisen Forehand of Greensboro. Bridesmaids were Nora Prokosch and Kelsey Busby. Bridesman was John Brevnick.

Serving the groom as best man was Noel Baker of Charlotte. Groomsman was Brett Bullock.

The bride and groom had planned a honeymoon in Iceland, but the trip was postponed due to groom recovering from a broken foot.

The couple will live in Garner.

The groom’s parents, Gary and Cheryl Poling, hosted a rehearsal dinner at Timberlake Earth Sanctuary.
