Campbell's Dominique Alexander and Patience Marshall took top weekly honors for track athlete and field athlete, respectively.
Campbell junior thrower Patience Marshall was selected the Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, while freshman sprinter Dominique Alexander was tabbed the Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week by Big South Conference representatives.
Marshall posted a distance of 51 feet, 5.75 inches in the shot put to finish runner-up at the Brant Tolsma Invitational.
Alexander won the 200-meter race at the Brant Tolsma Invitational with a school-record time of 21.17 seconds. His mark is the fourth fastest in Big South history.
Up next, Campbell is scheduled to take part in the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, hosted by Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia Feb. 12-13.
