April Dupree of Butterfly Counseling and Dr. Kat Spradely of K. Cradley and Company recently celebrated their new shared office location with an open house at 1206 S. Main St. in Lillington.

“We are proud to be a part of the Lillington community and strongly believe in the services that we bring to the area,” said Shannon George, director of communications for K. Cradley & Company, sharing her excitement for their new location.

The services of K. Cradley and Company and Butterfly Counseling are not new to Lillington, but the two businesses will be operating out of the same new location.

Dupree and Dr. Spradely connected on Facebook when the owner of Lillington business Zenciety, Ceshele Childres introduced the two of them. And when a chance face-to-face encounter happened at a local Lillington coffee spot, Bubs and Spankies, the two were able to orchestrate and plan their move into their new shared office space.

Dupree welcomed the guests at the open house and shared her inspiration and passion for her business.

“Butterfly Counseling is named in memory of my mother,” she said. “She is my yellow butterfly. Also, in therapy, a person makes a transition such as (a) caterpillar transitions into a butterfly.”

Dupree specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, phase-of-life issues, mood disorders, personality disorders, domestic violence and sex therapy for women who have been sexually abused. She also offers alternative treatment options like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.

K. Cradley and Company is a boutique strategy firm that focuses on helping businesses with branding, web design, social media management and marketing. Before Covid, the strategy firm operated out of Wake County but with the world shut down, the business shifted to a remote model. Now that the world is back open, Dr. Spradley said she wanted to return to her roots and build her businesses in the heart of Harnett County.

“At K. Cradley & Company, we have nationwide clients but we love working one on one with the people of our local community to optimize their online presence whether it’s through web design, social media management, or Google Business Profile updates,” she said.
