Boyfriend arrested in shooting death of Broadway woman

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for the man they believe shot and killed 22-year-old Jamaica Delona Allen of Sanford Saturday afternoon.

Deputies sought the public's help in finding 22-year-old Terrell Lewis Jackson, of Spring Lake, Friday, hours before they arrested him.

Allen was reportedly sitting alone in her car parked outside her home at 4685 Pittman Rosser Road in Broadway on Jan. 8 when the shooting occurred. The home was earlier reported to belong to Jackson’s mother.

A handgun was found next to Allen’s body inside the car and additional evidence was collected later from the same vehicle, according to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies charged Jackson, her boyfriend at the time of the shooting, with second-degree murder in the case. Deputies sought a warrant for Jackson’s arrest after an autopsy confirmed the manner of death was a homicide, according to the HCSO.
