A total of four area girls soccer teams are postseason bound, as announced by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association on Friday.
First-round matches are set for Monday, May 16.
No. 10 Harnett Central vs No. 23 Orange, 6p
Following this week's All American Conference tournament championship, Central (16-4) is heading back to the postseason for the first time since 2018.
The Lady Trojans host an Orange (9-7-1) club that comes into the tournament with four wins in the past five outings.
No. 32 Western Harnett at No. 1 Hunt, TBA
Western (10-11-1) only has one loss in its past five matches, an overtime defeat to rival Overhills in the AAC semifinal, and cracks the postseason field for the first time in over a decade.
The Lady Eagles draw Quad County Conference champion Hunt (19-2) who is riding a 16-game win streak.
No. 26 Midway at No. 7 North Johnston, 6 p.m.
Lady Raiders (8-8-2) are fresh off a tie with Northern Nash on Wednesday.
North Johnston (14-4) is the Neuse Six Conference champ and only has two losses in the past 10 matchups, both coming to Princeton.
No. 7 Hobbton vs No. 26 Triangle Math & Science, TBA
Enjoying one of its best seasons in recent history, Hobbton (15-1-2) finished tied atop the Carolina Conference and is riding a five-game win streak.
The Lady Wildcats are matched with a winless Triangle M&S (0-12-2) squad.
