The Education Committee of the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce presented a Golden Apple Award to Kim Ogilvie, reading interventionist at Wayne Avenue Elementary School. Dunn Chamber Past President Meredith Bradham and Wayne Avenue Elementary School Principal Yvette Carson made the presentation.

Ogilvie was nominated by her colleague Faith Mangum.

The nomination stated, “Kim Ogilvie has been such a positive addition to our Bulldog family! Aside from her positive attitude, she is a team player and provides both students and teachers with the support they need to be successful. She goes above and beyond to make everyday a great day for everyone at Wayne Avenue.”

The Golden Apple Award is a chamber program to help recognize the efforts of standout teachers in Dunn area schools. Administrators, teachers, counselors, parents and students are encouraged to nominate an outstanding teacher currently teaching full time at a Dunn area public or private school, which is an active member of the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce.
