Tyndall Joins Select Bank Harnett Team

Named commercial loan officer and relationship manager.

John Tyndall has joined Select Bank & Trust as a commercial banker in the Dunn market, joining the current team led by David Goodyear, regional executive in the Fayetteville and Dunn markets.

Mr. Tyndall will be responsible for business development and lending for one of Select’s leading markets, enabling the bank to continue its steadfast commitment to the area. He has more than 20 years of local banking experience including commercial credit administration, commercial lending, auto finance and retail banking. Most recently, Mr. Tyndall was the manager of credit administration for Coastal Bank & Trust in Jacksonville, N.C. Mr. Tyndall will be working throughout the region to serve clients.

“John will be a great addition to our construction division. His extensive experience in credit underwriting and analysis as well as his relationship management will play an integral part in allowing our bank to continue to serve the residential construction markets in which he will be involved,” said Mr. Goodyear.

Mr. Tyndall added, “I am excited about joining Select Bank & Trust and utilizing my experience to help the bank carry out its mission of being the bank of choice in the communities we serve. I am joining a very experienced and competent team and will strive to carry on their success and continue to provide our customers with the excellent care and service which they are accustomed to receiving.”

Mr. Tyndall has been highly involved in various nonprofit organizations for which he is passionate including United Way, Winter Park Optimists, Nourish NC, Carolina Canines for Service and continues to serve through his family’s passion for animal rescue. Mr. Tyndall currently resides in the Wilmington area with his wife and son.
