The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office has taken two men into custody who are charged in the fatal shooting of Demetrius Monte Johnson on U.S. Highway 301 near Dunn on May 29.

“Williams was arrested on Moulton Springs Road in Erwin,” Meredith said. “Sittle was taken into custody on Ponderosa Drive in Dunn.”

Deputies are also searching for a third suspect in the case, according to Meredith. Deputies have issued an arrest warrant for Isaiah Shantrell Wilson, 20, of Erwin.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the third individual,” Meredith said. “The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office currently has outstanding warrants for Isaiah Shantrell Wilson of Erwin.”

The three men face charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle after police say they shot into a car driven by Johnson on U.S. 301 outside of Dunn on May 29.
Deputies arrived around 3:30 p.m. and found Johnson had died from gunshot wounds.

The suspects currently in custody are being housed in the Harnett County Detention Center without bond.
