The Education Committee of the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce presented a Golden Apple Award to Jacob Fipps, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department teacher at Triton High School. Dunn Chamber Vice President of Education Rob Jones along with Triton High School Principal Ryan McNeill made the presentation.

Mr. Fipps was nominated by Principal McNeill. The nomination stated, “I would like to nominate Jacob Fipps for the Golden Apple. Mr. Fipps started teaching last year at Triton and immediately made a positive impact on the CTE department. He makes instruction relevant and rigorous for his students. He is an active leader in FFA, working with different teams and competing in regional, state and national events. Mr. Fipps is able to do all of these extra-curricular activities while still making sure that his students are successful in his classroom. He is a great representative of Triton High School and has helped make us better in a very short time.”

The Golden Apple Award is a chamber program to help recognize the efforts of standout teachers in our Dunn area schools. Administrators, teachers, counselors, parents and students are encouraged to nominate an outstanding teacher currently teaching full time at a Dunn area public or private school, which is an active member of the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce.
