Once again the Harnett Health Foundation will be the focus when the Bless Your Heart Show returns to Angier.
Shows are scheduled for tonight at 6:30, Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Johnson Properties, 48 Progressive Parkway.
For the third year in a row, local singer/songwriter Paige Johnson and the Country on the Outskirts of Town band will perform three shows to benefit the foundation.
“I can’t believe it’s already that time of year again to have our third annual Bless Your Heart Benefit Show to support the Harnett Health Foundation,” Miss Johnson told The Daily Record. “When we began dreaming up this idea, Ms. Cornelia Stewart, chairman of the board, and the rest of the foundation team, it seemed like a very far off thought, but for anyone who knows Ms. Cornelia they know that if she believes in something she will make it happen. And that she did and now three years later, we’re preparing for what we’re hoping will be the most successful fundraiser show yet.”
The show is done dinner-theater style with a catered meal served prior to the two-hour performance by Miss Johnson and a couple of special guests.
This year’s show will feature two new faces to the event, Allison Mahal and Van Isaacson. The two recently joined Miss Johnson on a seven-stop tour across the region.
“We’ve spent months picking out music, sharing it with each other, practicing, making show set lists and much more to make sure we put on the best show we can for everyone in attendance,” Miss Johnson said. “We look forward to each Country on the Outskirts of Town show throughout the year, but this one is particularly exciting because we know we get to share the experience with our friends at Harnett Health Foundation.”
Along with music and food, those in attendance can also expect to hear about the projects currently ongoing or planned by the foundation.
“This benefit show is a little different than all of our other shows because the audience gets insight into the projects going on within the Harnett Health System, as well as some cool information and statistics about their operations,” Miss Johnson said. “Additionally, we will be having some special prizes up for auction at this event that me and the band are super excited about.”
Tickets for the event are $40 per person and can be purchased by calling 919-639-2231 or 919-892-1000 ext. 308.
If you are unable to attend the show, Miss Johnson and her two friends will perform at Angier Baptist Church on Sunday morning, during morning services and at the Red Barn restaurant in Angier on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
