From the time that the Affordable Care Act was passed until the present, North Carolina Republicans have broadcast their policy that the government should not control health insurance. They have used every method they can think of to stop the expansion of Medicaid insurance benefits to North Carolina citizens.

By not allowing that expansion, the state government, that is the North Carolina General Assembly, is doing exactly what Republicans say they are against — controlling the insurance, Medicaid, that would pay for health care for hundreds of thousands of our citizens, by denying them the insurance they are eligible to purchase.
