Warmer weather means the kick off to area outdoor concert series and that includes in the Town of Angier.
Next Thursday, the longtime beach music act The Entertainers, fresh off a gig in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., will hit the stage for a concert from 7 to 9 p.m. at Depot Square/Ellington Grounds.
The Entertainers band has been entertainment crowds for over 30 years. Founded in 1980, the group’s first hit was “Living For the Summer” that same year. In addition to playing along the Grand Strand of Myrtle Beach, The Entertainers play a numerous festivals, corporate conventions, weddings and other festivities.
While staying true to their R& B and beach music roots, The Entertainers also perform selections from the latest top 40, classic rock ’n’ roll and country music.
The group’s latest album is titled “The Inside Story,” which contains the No. 1 beach music hit “Thank Goodness She Cheated.”
Get out your blankets and lawn chairs and head to the Depot Square/Ellington Grounds, located at 19 W. Depot St., downtown Angier, for this free concert.
Upcoming concerts include:

. June 14 — Hindsight;
. June 28 — North Tower Band.
All concerts will begin at 7 p.m.
The Entertainers will kick off Angier's concert series next Thursday at Depot Square.
