Longtime radio personality Carl Lamm, who retired last week, will be the guest of Dunn station WCKB Tuesday. He will be interviewed on the air beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Mr. Lamm, 92, was a radio broadcaster for 72 years. He owned and operated WTSB AM 1090 and FM 105.5 in Selma-Smithfield before he retired. The station signed off the air on March 31.

Ron Tart, WCKB general manager, said they will talk to Mr. Lamm about his career, how his Christian faith has been a major force in his life and his deep love for America. They will discuss the interesting people Mr. Lamm met during his career, including baseball legend Mickey Mantle, and about the years he worked at WCKB in the 1950s.

“We invite people to stop by between 1 and 2 p.m. to meet Carl,” said Mr. Tart.

Mr. Lamm will have copies of his book, “Sixty-Three Years On The Air, My Life & Times,” available to purchase.

WCKB 780 AM, a Southern gospel music station, is located at 17336 U.S. 421 South, Dunn.
