Resurrection breakfast set for Saturday


The annual Resurrection Day Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Gospel Tabernacle Church on Cumberland Street in Dunn.

This year’s speaker will be retired Lt. Gen. William G. “Jerry” Boykin, executive vice president of the Family Research Council in Washington. Boykin has a distinguished career of 36 years, including 24 years service in joint special operations.

He was an original member of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force and commanded the group in multiple combat operations.

Boykin ultimately served as the commander of the U.S. Army Special Forces Command and as commandant of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg.

Tickets are available at the church office for $5 and can also be purchased at the door.
