Cape Fear ‘A’ Conference Youth Ministry

The Cape Fear “A” Conference Youth Ministry convened Dec. 28 at the Cape Fear “A” Conference Headquarters, Erwin. McSavaisha Hines gave the call to worship. The musicians/choir led the youth processional. The opening selection was by the CFA Conference Youth Choir. Scripture was read by Paris McMillian and the prayer was by Michael Jacobs.

Malaki Baker welcomed everyone. A poem was read by Jániqua McLeod. “Divine” performed a dance ministry. The speaker for the evening was Caprina Monds from Smith Grove FWB Church.

Alter call and prayer was led by Pastor Shirley Myles. Union secretaries made the announcements and Elizabeth King, Pamela Haire, and CFAC youth liaison Bishop J.E. McDowell Sr. gave remarks. McSavisha Hines gave the benediction.

Raleigh District Union

The Raleigh District Union convened Dec. 29 at Johnston Chapel FWB Church, Benson. The host pastor was Elder Willie McLeod. Eldress Elaine Elliott gave the call to worship. The Green’s Chapel Gospel Choir rendered the music. Scripture was read by Minister Elnora Williams. Prayer was led by Eldress Kim Shyllon. Eldress Elaine Elliott introduced the speaker. Elder Demetrius Elliott spoke on “Is Anybody in Tune to go to Heaven?”

A business session was held. Pastor Willie McLeod gave the prayer of guidance. During the Bishop’s Moment, Bishop John E. McDowell spoke on behalf of the General Level, the Bible college and other departments. District Elder Dr. Michael Dials presided. Linda Holiday read the minutes. The Union Workers Club and Mother Board reports were made. First lady Sara Baker gave the Christian Education report.

Eldress Monica Elliott and Eldress Mary Spence were accepted into the RDU to preach the gospel. Pastor Demetrius gave the benediction.

Raleigh/Dunn District Union

The Raleigh/Dunn District Union convened Dec. 30 at the Cape Fear Conference “A” Headquarters. Host pastors were Eldress Shirley Myles and Elder Willie McLeod. Sunday school was taught by Eldress Betty Snead. Eldress Shirley Myles presided and gave the call to worship. Choral response was by Johnston Chapel and Smith Grove churches. Eldress Jackie Myles gave the affirmation of faith and scripture was read by Eldress Phyllis Kirby. Elder Willie McLeod led in prayer. An inspirational song was presented by Johnston Chapel and Smith Grove. Betty Snead welcomed everyone and Etta McNeill made the announcements. Elder James Baker introduced the speaker. Dr. Michael Dials spoke on “If Stones Could Talk.” District elders and the host pastor gave expressions. Elder Kirby Haire gave the benediction.
