Public library job fair set for May 8

Meet employers and learn how to get better job search results


Meet local employers that are hiring and find support for your job search at the Cumberland County Public Library’s job fair on Wednesday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Headquarters Library, 300 Maiden Lane, Fayetteville.

Librarians will be available to assist job seekers with completing online applications, creating or revising résumés and providing tips on interviewing. Professional human resource managers will review résumés and offer feedback for improvement. Participants may also learn how to use the NC Works Job Portal with access to countless job openings.

Job seekers may find immediate help through the library’s Job & Career Center that includes job listings, resources for veterans through Vet Now and much more.

The job fair also includes a Reentry Resource Fair for individuals reentering the community from incarceration. Information will be available regarding housing, employment, transportation, education, healthcare services, family support and more.
