A man found injured by an apparent gunshot wound is listed in critical condition at a local hospital as Angier police work to track down his shooter.

Angier officers were called to a home on West Church Street around 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers of the Angier Police Department and the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office found a man suffering from “an apparent gunshot wound,” according to a release Monday from APD.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Monday.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the APD release, but officers believe the shooting was “an isolated incident and that the general public and citizens of Angier are safe.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Angier Police Department at 910-580-8153 or to use the anonymous tip line on the Police Department’s website at angier.org/anonymous-tips/.

Police say the name of the victim and further information is not being released at this time.
