‘Literacy Works’ theme for June brunch

Dunn Christian Women’s Connection event slated June 11

Area women are invited to attend the “Literacy Works” brunch sponsored by the Dunn Christian Women’s Connection from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Triangle South Enterprise Center, 600 S. Magnolia Ave., Dunn. The cost is $11.

Claudia Farr will present a program on Triangle South Literacy Works, a nonprofit, volunteer organization that provides free basic adult literacy programs, English as a Second Language instruction, math, citizenship classes, as well as teaches computer literacy and financial literacy.

The speaker will be Mandy Lawrence of Lexington. Music will be performed by Lacey Warren of Dunn.

Christian Women’s Connection is nondenominational and requires no membership or dues. It is part of Stonecroft Ministries based in Kansas City, Missouri.
