Lillington Student Awarded Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship

Madison Reilly of Lillington has been named the recipient of the Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships for Children of Fallen or Disabled Service Members.

The scholarship grants for this program are principally underwritten by the author’s after tax proceeds from the book “Of Thee I Sing. A Letter To My Daughters” written by President Barack Obama, as well as corporate sponsorships and private donations.

Ms. Reilly is the child of John Reilly. She attends North Carolina State University where she is majoring in resources conservation.

She is involved in 4-H, FFA, N.C. State Eco-Village, the Holiday Clothing and Food Drive and Pollinator Education Program.

The Fisher House Foundation administers the Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships For Children of Fallen or Disabled Service members through Scholarship Managers, a professional scholarship management services organization located in Cherry Hill, N.J.
