Keith Hills Classic welcomes top N.C. golf teams

Keith Hills Golf Club in Buies Creek will host the Keith Hills High School Kickoff Classic Friday at noon on the Orange and Black Courses.

NCHSAA 4A state champion Broughton will be competing against other 4A standouts, including Green Hope, Cardinal Gibbons, and Pinecrest at this year’s high school showdown in the Creek. Returning champions include Green Hope, competing for their seventh title, Broughton, competing for their fifth and Ravenscroft, competing for their third. Other teams include Clayton, Apex Friendship, Fike, Forsyth Country Day, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Hoggard, Holly Springs, New Bern, New Hanover, Union Pines and Wake Forest.

The tournament will feature 20 high school teams and some of the region’s top men’s golf teams from last year’s state high school championships. Each competing team will use the low four of five scores for a team total with trophies being presented to the top two teams and individual winners. The tournament is sponsored and administered by Keith Hills Golf Club and Campbell University’s PGA Golf Management Program.
