Harnett Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is set to open Monday at 716 S. 10th St., offering quick and convenient specialized care for area residents. The opening is the culmination of several months of planning to not only open the clinic, but to also expand the health system’s services.

Harnett Health President, Cory Hess said, “We are excited to be adding an orthopaedics and sports medicine practice to our already expansive lineup of services. Dr. Grewal is an amazing physician that excels in arthroscopic surgeries, joint replacement surgeries and sports medicine. Harnett County and the surrounding communities have a growing need for skilled physicians, surgeons and nurses. Harnett Health is proud to be able to fill that need not only with this practice, but with all of our services.”

The team at Harnett Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine will be lead by Dr. Bikram Grewal, orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Grewal is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery for sports-related injuries. He also performs ultrasound-guided procedures, including platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections and stem cell injections for arthritis, rotator cuff tears, tendonitis and other conditions. He advocates evidence based practice for his patients.

Dr. Grewal completed his orthopaedic training at UNC-Chapel Hill and has spent time with the World Health Organization, assisted with the UNC football team, a minor league hockey team, the Columbus Cottonmouth Snakes and was also the team physician for the Fayetteville Fireantz (now Fayetteville Marksmen) from 2014-2017.

Dr. Grewal is joined by Jennifer Burn, PA-C, who has more than a decade of experience providing orthopedic care to Harnett County residents of all ages. She specializes in treating musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from acute fractures and sprains to tendonitis and joint pain.
