Free concert in Angier Saturday night

Music, crafts, local vendors highlight event

The six-piece band Charlie will headline a free concert at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Depot Square in downtown Angier.

Charlie features male and female vocalists, a keys player, guitar, bass and drums. The band performs an extensive playlist, including soul, Motown and beach music. It plays everything from standard jazz songs to the more popular dance tunes. Hear such tunes such as “When I Think of You” by Janet Jackson to “Best of My Love” by The Eagles.

In addition to the music, there will be lots of activities for young and old alike. There will be a dance floor for music fans, an inflatable bounce house and face painting for the kids and plenty of arts and crafts available.

Vendors on hand will include Baton Rouge Cuisine, Paradice Italian Ices, Vicious Fishes Brewery and Mr. Cheesesteak.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
