The Harnett County Division on Aging’s Family Caregiver Program will host its annual Holiday Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Harnett County Government Complex Commons Area, 309 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington.
Shop from local artists for handmade items including candles, skin care, jewelry, scarves, tasty treats, knit items, wreaths and garden ornaments. Proceeds will benefit the Family Caregiver Support Group Program.
The Harnett County Family Caregiver Support Program helps support adult family members caring for an elderly person aged 60 or older, or a disabled relative in an in-home setting. They also support older grandparents who are 55 years of age or older and the primary caregiver of a child who is 18 years old or younger.
In addition to the Holiday Craft Fair a “Christmas Cheer” hot dog lunch fundraiser will be held in the commons area. “Christmas Cheer” is a program for Harnett County elderly and or shut-in residents, provided by the Department of Social Services. Proceeds from the $6 hot dog lunch, which includes two hot dogs, chips, and a beverage, will help fund the “Christmas Cheer” program.
