Erwin UM Women to hold bake, gift sale Nov. 23

The Erwin United Methodist Women’s annual casserole, baked goods and gift items sale will be Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church’s Family Life Center, 600 Denim Drive in Erwin. Plan to come early and stock up on all your family’s favorite baked goods, casseroles and gift items for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Proceeds from this event benefit nonprofit organizations which serve women, children and families. Previous recipients include SAFE of Harnett County, CareNet, Erwin UMC Food Bank, Boy Scouts and Methodist Children’s Home.

Highlights include:

  • 9 a.m. until — Country ham biscuits and hot coffee to start your day
  • 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. — Sweet potato, squash and hash brown casseroles plus chicken pot pies, which are great for the family or for when you have company drop in. Large size: $13/$15, Small size: $7/$8
  • 9 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. — Handcrafted items made by the Peacemakers Group: Lap robes, baby quilts, baby bibs, adult clothing protectors, aprons and table runners; plus many specialty gift items for your family and friends.
  • 11 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. — Lunch time favorite, homemade vegetable beef soup plus a sandwich and dessert at $7 per person plus carryout soup by the quart.

    Come shop and stay for lunch and take some soup home for the family.
