Annual Floral Convention set
The Western Assembly annual Floral Convention will convene Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Western Assembly Headquarters Building (The C.J. Williams Convention Center), U.S. Highway 701, Newton Grove. The convention begins with registration starting at 10 a.m. and moves immediately into the rest of the service including the business session and worship.

Faith & Power to celebrate Spears’ anniversary
Faith & Power Christian Center International will celebrate Chief Apostle Dr. Ron Spears’ anniversary Aug. 15-18.
On Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m., the speaker will be Apostle Bloony Aycock from The New Church of Christ in Faison; Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m., the speaker will be Apostle Leroy Smith with 11th Hour in Dunn; Aug. 18 at 10:30 a.m., the speaker will be Apostle Kevin Barber with Word & Praise Ministries in Baltimore, Maryland, and at 4 p.m., the speaker will be Bishop Lewis with Living Hope in Kinston.
They will have a banquet to honor Dr. Spears on Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1107 Long Brand Road, Dunn. The tickets are $25 per person and $8 for children younger than 8 years old.

Bethel OFWB to
hold yard sale
Bethel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 3168 N.C. Highway 96 South, Four Oaks, will hold a yard sale Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. It is sponsored by the youth and proceeds will go to the Youth Fund. A variety of items will be available for sale as well as some free items. Free breakfast will be available as long as the supply lasts. Everyone is invited.
Back-to-school supplies giveaway set
Beulah Baptist Church will host a back-to-school supplies giveaway on Sunday. Come to Sunday school and/or worship service where every youth who attends will receive a ticket. After church, there will be a hot dog lunch with all the trimmings. After lunch, every youth who has a ticket will receive a backpack full of school supplies.
This is for all ages and grade levels.

The Great Western Disciples Assembly will host the Mothers’ Alliance Convention on Aug. 17 at Assembly Headquarters, U.S. Highway 701 North in Newton Grove. The convention will begin with a prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. and a service at noon. The prayer breakfast costs $10 a person.

Back-to-school outreach set Saturday

Bethesda Friends will host a one-day vacation Bible school on Saturday. The theme for the day will be “God’s Love.” Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the church sanctuary with the activities beginning at 9 until 1 p.m. The schedule will include Bible stories, lessons, music and crafts for ages 3-5, 6-10, and 11-13. Lunch will be served followed by a closing assembly with participation recognition.
