Elevation to hold
yard sale

Elevation United Methodist Church, 5101 Elevation Road, Benson, will hold a yard sale Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

Gaylon Pope & SweetWater at Hodges Chapel

Hodges Chapel will present an evening with Gaylon Pope & SweetWater, along with comedy from “Granny No-Mo” Saturday. The program will feature Gaither-style southern gospel music, comedy and a night of inspiration for the entire family or groups. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30. VBS starts June 10 at Beulah Baptist

Beulah Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14. The theme will be “In The Wild – Amazing Encounters With Jesus.” The focal scripture will be John 20:31 “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”

Activities begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. and supper will be served each night. There will be food, games, music, crafts, contests and lessons for all ages — infants through senior citizens.

Beulah Church is located at 3140 N.C. Highway 242 South, Benson. Pastor Steven Campbell invites everyone to come.

Community VBS scheduled

Lillington Area Ministers Association will hold a community Vacation Bible School. The theme is “Armed & Dangerous, The Whole Armour of God.” On June 7, a Joy Night will begin at 7 p.m. and Minister Marcus Blue of Anderson Creek Christian Center will be the speaker. On June 8, there will be VBS workshops with games and food from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both days will be held at Lillington First Missionary Baptist Church, 1136 N.C. Highway 210 South, Lillington. Upcoming events announced at Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove FWB Church, 1520 Casper Road, Dunn, announces the following upcoming events. Sunday at 3 p.m. Pleasant Grove FWB Church will observe its ushers anniversary. The speaker will be Eldress Young of Bethlehem. On June 19-21, from 6 to 8 each night, the church will hold Vacation Bible School. Super Sunday
Nights continue

Throughout the summer months of June, July and August, Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, east of Angier, will again host its Super Sunday Nights Series. Services will be held throughout the summer beginning at 6 p.m.

Mercy’s Cross will be featured Sunday. The Hickory Grove Quartet will be featured on Sunday, June 23. The Walters Family will round out the month of June, as they will be featured on Sunday, June 30.

Men’s Day at
McKoy’s Chapel

Pastor Jermaine Stearns and his congregation from Victorious Christian Deliverance Center of Hope Mills will render a Men’s Day service Sunday at 3 p.m. at McKoy’s Chapel. The public is invited to attend.

The church is located at 1986 Old Stage Road. Elder James E. Baker is the pastor.

Nehemiah Building to host carnival

Nehemiah Building Ministries Community Connection, partnering with Anderson Creek, will host a carnival Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. The event is free to all. There will be food and drinks, extreme inflatables, horseback rides, games and more. The event will be held at 2225 N.C. Highway 55 East, Dunn. Host pastors are James and Carla Peterkin.

Evangelical Fountain to hold revival

Evangelical Fountain of Living Waters will hold a two-day church revival Friday and Saturday. Service times are Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. The speaker will be Samuel Jackson from Stafford, Virginia. Hosting pastors are Apostle Sherry Harrington and Chris Harrington. The church is located at 1202 Denim Drive, Erwin.

Youth Day set at Sampson Chapel

Sunday at 11 a.m., there will be Youth Day at Sampson Chapel FWB Church. The speaker will be Minister Rosemary Surles from McLean Chapel FWB Church. This is a dress-down casual attire event and the youth will sing. The host pastor is Elder Laeulia Lisane and the church is located at 8709 Green Path Road, Dunn.

sale slated at
Sacred Heart

Round 2 of the annual Sacred Heart Parish yard sale will be Saturday, June 15, from 7 a.m. until noon. The church still has a lot of items and more is being added to the sale — furniture, décor, electronics, toys, books, linens, clothing and more. Come find your treasure. They are located in the brick building on the corner of South Ellis Avenue and Cumberland Avenue, 203 S. Ellis Ave.

Missionary March planned for June 16

June 16 at 6 p.m., Holy Mission Holiness Church will hold its Missionary March. Eldress Geraldine McKoy from Nehemiah Building Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor James Peterkin, will bring forth the message. The pastor is Eudora M. Womack.

VBS set at Long Branch Church

Pastor Phillip Newton invites the community to join them at Long Branch Church for Vacation Bible School. The adventure will be held Sunday through Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The theme this year is “Roar: Life is Wild — God is Good.” The focal scripture will be Nahum 1:7: “The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes.”

Supper will be served each night at 6, followed by games, music, crafts and lessons for all ages beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Men’s Day set at Pisgah Top

Pisgah Top Bible Church of God will celebrate Men’s Day Sunday at 11:15 with Bishop Jerry Moore as the speaker. The Gospel Choir will sing.

The church is located at 171 Lamm Ave., Erwin. The pastor is Apostle Harry Lee from Lumberton.

Pastoral anniversary celebration set

Bishop Aaron Smith will celebrate his 26th pastoral anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. at Praise & Worship Outreach Ministry, 107 Old Post Road, Erwin. The speaker will be Bishop Brenda Johnson of Recruiters for Christ, Erwin.

Crossroad Temple to celebrate Men’s Day

to hold VBS

The Love Center will hold Vacation Bible School June 18-20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme is “Whoosh: Take Flight to where God Leads You!” There will be activities and food for ages 3 and up.

Spring gospel sing to be held Saturday

There will be a spring gospel sing Saturday at 7 p.m. at Cumberland Street Baptist Church, 200 S. King Ave., Dunn. Featured on the program will be Larry Chason, Divine Intention, and The Glorymen and Tiffany. Admission is free. A love offering will be received. The event is sponsored by My Brother’s Keeper of Dunn.

Pastor Latonya Agard will preach at New Beginning Love Fellowship Ministries on Sunday at 3 p.m. She is the pastor at Bazzel Creek Church in Fuquay-Varina.

New Zealand
to hold VBS

Vacation Bible School will be held at New Zealand PFWB Church Sunday through June 12. Time is 6:30 each evening. The church is located at 5312 Meadow Brook Road in the Meadow community. All ages are welcome.
