Car show at
Hodges Chapel will present its annual car show Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 780 Hodges Chapel Road, Benson. This is an open car show and there is a $20 entry fee. There will be a 50/50 drawing, vendors on site, top five trophies, top 50 awards and door prizes. There will be special awards for Best Chevy, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best Truck, Best Foreign and HCC Award.
There will be entertainment by GW & VA’s DJ. Registration is from 8 a.m. to noon. Awards start at 2 p.m.

Plate sale set
for May 17

Mother’s Day bake sale planned
Calvary Baptist Church will hold its annual Mother’s Day bake sale Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 283 N.C. 55, Dunn. They will serve ham and sausage biscuits for breakfast and hot dogs for lunch. Also, they will have an assortment of homemade cakes, pies, snacks and desserts for sale. Proceeds go to help fund youth missions and other youth activities.

The May calendar of events for Pleasant Grove FWB Church are as follows: Sunday, Mother’s Day service at 11 a.m. May 18, the Mission Department will hold a Rainbow Tea at 6 p.m. The colors will be red, blue, green and yellow for the Rainbow Tea. May 19, there will be no service at Pleasant Grove FWB Church. The church family will attend service at Zion Wall in Linden at 11 a.m. May 23 and 24, Pleasant Grove will hold revival at 7 both nights. Sacred Heart to hold parish yard sale

Evangelical Fountain of Living Waters will hold a plate sale and yard sale Saturday to raise money for the building fund for the purchase of land to build.
