Officers Day
service Sunday

On Sunday at 3 p.m., Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 9030 Harnett-Dunn Highway, Dunn, will celebrate its annual Officers Day service. The Rev. Jeffery White and Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will be the guest church. Dinner will be served after the morning service.

Church anniversary celebration

Potter’s House Outreach Ministry will celebrate its 20th church anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Bishop Reginald Hinton. He will be accompanied by members of Mt. Pisgah OFWB Church, Erwin.

Pastoral anniversary celebration

Recruiters For Christ Church, 931 Red Hill Church Road, will continue to celebrate Bishop Brenda M. Johnson’s 33rd pastoral anniversary tonight. The speaker will be Pastor Rhonda Ray, Grazing Mountains Church. Service time is 7:30. The celebration will close out Sunday during the 11 a.m. service. The speaker will be Eldress Barbara Pegues, Smith Grove Church. Dinner will follow the service.

Men in Black program

St. Stephens Disciples of Christ Church will sponsor a Men in Black program Sunday at 3 p.m. Bishop David Patterson of Walker Chapel Church will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. Pastor Demetrius Elliott of Green’s Chapel Church, along with his church family, will be the presider for the evening.

Barbecue chicken plate sale

Holly Grove Advent Christian Church, located in the Meadow community at 2050 Holly Grove Road, Benson, will serve barbecue chicken plates Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. or until sold out. Plates are $8. Take out/eat in available. Drawing and silent auction ends at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds support the church auxiliaries.

Pancake and sausage supper

The Hood’s Grove Baptist WMU will hold a pancake and sausage supper Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. for a donation. There will also be a silent auction on baked goods and crafts. The church is located at 677 Hood’s Grove Church Road, Newton Grove. For more information, call 919-894-5977.

Women’s Conference at Greater Faith & Deliverance

The members of Greater Faith & Deliverance Ministry will hold a Women’s Conference today through Sunday. Today is praise and worship. Unity Presbyterian Church will hold a barbecue pork and barbecue chicken fundraiser today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 per plate. Take out or eat in. The church is located at 11551 N.C. 50, Newton Grove.

Lillington Grove to celebrate U.S. Rally

Lillington Grove OFWB Church will celebrate its annual U.S. Rally on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the church. They are asking everyone to come out and be a part of the program by representing or recognizing someone from your family. You are not required to speak unless you wish to do so. The pastor is Elder Coleman Elliott.

Ushers anniversary March 24

Davis Chapel Holiness Church, 164 Bruce Johnson Road, Lillington,will hold an ushers anniversary on March 24 at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Minister Cathy Bell of Davis Chapel Holiness Church. Spaghetti supper at Overhills Community

The WMU Ladies of Overhills Community Church will sponsor a spaghetti supper today from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 per plate. Plates consist of spaghetti with salad and dessert. Eat in or carry out will be available. Delivery of five or more plates within a 10-mile radius will also be available. Proceeds will go to missions.

Musical program at Holy Mission

There will be a musical program March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Mission Holiness Church. All church choirs or gospel groups are invited. The host pastor is Eudora M. Womack.

Youth to sponsor praise night

Tonight at 7, the youth of Sampson Chapel FWB Church will sponsor praise night with the theme, “Crazy for Jesus.” The praise leader for the evening will be Jasmine Bennon from 11th Hour Ministries and the speaker, Elder Corey Munns, and choir are from Restoration Church. The attire is wacky tacky to literally show we can be Crazy for Jesus! Host pastor is Elder Laeulia Lisane and the church is located at 8709 Green Path Road, Dunn.

Faith Mission news

On Sunday at 11 a.m., Elder Jerry Bailey will speak at Faith Mission Church. Pastor Rhonda Cummings and congregation from Greater Love Church will fellowship with Faith Mission at 3 p.m.

Faith and Power news

Faith and Power Christian Center will hold its annual Intercessory Prayer Conference Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The speakers will be Apostle Sabrena Goodall from Dimension of Christ in LaGrange, Apostle Sandra Holland Trotter-Stanley from Shiloh Temple in Raeford and Pastor Dr. Deborah Stewart from Empowered to Succeed Ministries in Dunn.

Revival at
Bethesda Friends

Revival services will begin with Sunday morning worship at 10:30 at Bethesda Friends Church. Services will be each night Sunday through Wednesday at 7. Otto Griffin, an evangelist from Seven Springs, will be the guest speaker. He is a graduate of Duke University and Liberty Seminary who loves sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Jonathan Cook and the congregation invites everyone to join them for this series of worship services. Bethesda is located on 4955 Green Path Road, Dunn.

Ladies Day at
Randall’s Chapel

Randall’s Chapel PFWB Church, 278 Randall’s Chapel Road, Newton Grove, will observe Ladies Day Sunday at 10:45 a.m. The guest speaker will be Deanna Lawhorn from Newton Grove.

Women’s Empowerment
March 22, 23

The Women of Virtue Ministry of Mount Pisgah will host a Women’s Empowerment on March 22 and 23 with the theme titled “Women On The Front Line, I AM That Woman.” The guest speaker will be Lady Leah McNair of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Thomasville. The conference begins on Friday, March 22, at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, March 23, at 9 a.m. and is open to women and men of all ages. The host pastor is Bishop Reginald S. Hinton Sr. and the church is located at 145 Prospect Church Road in Erwin.

Going Beyond Simulcast April 6

Going Beyond Simulcast with speaker, Priscilla Shirer, and worship leader, Anthony Evans, will be held April 6 at Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church. Registration will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and the simulcast will be from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Kingdom Building Worship Center will hold a service Saturday at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be Elder Travis Taylor. Music will be by Straight Gate Praise Team. KBWC will celebrate its musicians with appreciation services March 22 at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Tim Blue. Music will be by Bible Way Choir. The Believers
in concert

The Believers will sing at The Antique Farm Show in Lillington on Saturday at 11 a.m. They will also sing at Faith Baptist Church in Dunn on Sunday. The service at Faith Baptist Church, which is located at 276 Neighbors Road in Dunn, begins at 10:45 a.m.

Pancake, sausage supper

Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church located on Stricklands Crossroads and N.C. 96, Four Oaks, will hold a pancake and sausage supper March 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. It will be at the Fellowship Center located at 1458 Wood-Lee Road just off Stricklands Crossroads Road.

There will also be a cake auction around 6:15 p.m.

The community is invited to eat in or take-out plates will be available. Donations will be accepted.

Grove revival

Neighbors Grove Bible Church of God will be in revival March 20-22. The guest speaker will be Allen McNeill, pastor of Crossroad Temple BCOG in Coats. Service begins at 7:30 nightly. The church is located at 650 Brinkley Road, Dunn. The host pastor is Elder Dorothy McLeod.

Spring revival starts March 20

Burning Bush Non-Denomination Deliverance Church located at 402 N. 13th St. in Erwin will hold a spring revival on March 20-22 at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Apostle Leroy Hargett from Smithfield. Apostle Alexander Lockamy is the pastor.

Pastor anniversary celebration

Pineview Christian Center will hold a fifth pastor’s anniversary celebration honoring Elder Adrian L. Ingram Sr.

On March 29 at 7 p.m., the speaker will be Presiding Elder James Artis McDougald, Indian Trail. Music will be by the Lillington Grove Community Mass Choir.

On March 31 at 11 a.m., the speaker will be the Rev. Curtis Joyner of Knightdale. The 3 p.m. speaker will be Apostle Beverly Ham, pastor of Destiny Ministries, Freemont.

Community Revival starts March 24

A Community Revival will be held March 24-27 at Antioch Church in Erwin. Service time is 7 each night. Speakers will be the Rev. Rick Kelly, March 24; the Rev. Kevin Haynes, March 25; the Rev. Donnie Barbour, March 26; and the Rev. Michael Preddy, March 27.

Youth speakers will be the Rev. Joe Reagan, March 24; the Rev. Shawn Baillargeon, March 25; the Rev. Adam Lee, March 26; and the Rev. Joe Reagan, March 27.

There will be a children’s church and nursery each night. Teens will meet in the Family Life Center each night. A different choir will sing each night.

God’s House of
Prayer news

A Joy Service will begin at 7:30 tonight at God’s House of Prayer with music, praise and worship, and preaching with the church’s elder ministers staff. On Sunday, the morning worship service will be omitted due the fact that the Senior Overseer will preach in Red Springs at Refuge Cornerstone Church where Bishop John A Ray is the pastor. This will be an anniversary celebration. All music will be rendered by the GHOP Choir. Service begins at 11:30 a.m.

Also, March 19-24 begins the honorary celebration for Senior Overseer Apostle Bob McArthur Sr. and the stand-in pastor, Prophetess Adlay McArthur. Service begins at 7:30 nightly and at 11 a.m. on the 24th. Preachers are Assistant Pastor Apelles Hart Sr., Apostle Rosa DeGraffenried, Apostle C.L Campbell, Pastor Salie Twine Jr. Overseer is Bishop David McArthur Sr.
