Pastor anniversary celebration

Zion Wall FWB Church in Linden will celebrate Pastor Jerry L. Jones’ 13th pastorate anniversary on Sunday at 11 a.m. The guest will be Elder Demetrius Elliott and the members of Green’s Chapel FWB Church. Lunch will be served. All are invited to attend.

at Green’s Chapel

There will be a Gospel Explosion Sunday at Green’s Chapel FWB Church. Appearing on the program will be the Friendly Five of Bunnlevel, Chosen Voices of Dunn, Master Keys of Angier, Silvertones of Lillington, Dunn Chapel and more. Food will be sold. The Branchettes anniversary celebration

The Branchettes will celebrate their 46th singing anniversary Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at C.J. Williams Western Assembly Headquarters Building, 9766-1 U.S. 701 North, Newton Grove. Officers Day
service March 17

On March 17 at 3 p.m., Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 9030 Harnett-Dunn Highway, Dunn, will celebrate its annual Officers Day service. The Rev. Jeffery White and Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will be the guest church. Dinner will be served after the morning service.

McKoy’s Chapel
to hold Women’s Conference

McKoy’s Chapel Church will celebrate its annual Women’s Conference Saturday and Sunday. Elder Elaine Elliott will speak Saturday at 10 a.m. and Elder Kimberly Johnson will be the Sunday morning speaker.

Potter’s House Outreach Ministry will celebrate its 20th church anniversary March 17 at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Bishop Reginald Hinton. He will be accompanied by members of Mt. Pisgah OFWB Church, Erwin.

Recruiters For Christ Church, 931 Red Hill Church Road, will celebrate Bishop Brenda M. Johnson’s 33rd pastoral anniversary on March 14 and 15. Speakers will be Bishop Reginald Hinton Sr. of Mt. Pisgah FWB Church, March 14; and Pastor Rhonda Ray, Grazing Mountains Church, March 15. Service time is 7:30 nightly. The celebration will close out March 17 during the 11 a.m. service. Men in Black program March 17

St. Stephens Disciples of Christ Church will sponsor a Men in Black program March 17 at 3 p.m. Bishop David Patterson of Walker Chapel Church will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. Pastor Demetrius Elliott of Green’s Chapel Church, along with his church family, will be the presider for the evening.

Barbecue chicken plate sale March 16

Holly Grove Advent Christian church, located in the Meadow community at 2050 Holly Grove Road, Benson, will serve barbecue chicken plates Saturday, March 16, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. or until sold out. Plates are $8. Take out/eat in available. Drawing and silent auction ends at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds support the church auxiliaries.

Ladies Day at Unity AC

Unity Advent Christian Church will observe Ladies Day Sunday. There will be a chicken pastry luncheon served immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service. It will be a donations only luncheon and proceeds will benefit the Ladies Group. Pastor Jason Hudson invites all to come worship and dine with them.

Pancake and sausage supper March 16

The Hood’s Grove Baptist WMU will hold a pancake and sausage supper March 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. for a donation. There will also be a silent auction on baked goods and crafts. The church is located at 677 Hood’s Grove Church Road, Newton Grove.

Plate sale at Union Hill

Today, Union Hill Community Church will host plate sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dine in or take out. Grilled barbecue chicken is $8, grilled barbecue ribs, $10; and a combination plate, $12. All plates come with a choice of two sides, dessert, roll and drink. Sides are mac and cheese, collards, green beans or potato salad.

On Sunday at 11 a.m., the Rev. James Myles of Dunn will be guest speaker on a building fund program. Pastor Rena Sutton and Union Hill Community Church family invite you to attend all services.

to speak at Jonesboro Baptist

Campbell football coach and former Panthers player Mike Minter will speak at Jonesboro Baptist Church Wednesday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. A covered-dish supper will be served. Chapel news

On Sunday during morning worship, the pastor aide will sponsor “March Madness” at Sampson Chapel Church. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite ACC team sports attire.

On Wednesday, March 13, from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m., the youth will sponsor a spaghetti dinner. The meal will include spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and a drink for $7. This will lead up to their Friday Night Frenzy praise night to be held Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. The theme is “Crazy for Jesus.” The praise leader will be Jasmine Bennon from 11th Hour Ministries and the speaker for the evening will be Elder Corey Munns from Restoration Church.

Mothers’ program at Pleasant Grove

On Sunday at 3 p.m., Pleasant Grove FWB Church of 1520 Casper Road, Dunn, will hold a Mothers’ Program. The speaker will be Minister Sylvia Hicks and First Freewill Baptist Church of Erwin will sing. Everyone is welcome. Elder Alexander McArthur is the pastor.

Women’s Conference at Greater Faith & Deliverance

The members of Greater Faith & Deliverance Ministry will hold a Women’s Conference March 15-17. God’s House
of Prayer news

There will be a Joy Night service tonight at 7:30 at God’s House of Prayer. Three of the church’s elder ministers will preach.

Sunday at 11 a.m. will be Family and Friends Day. The preacher will be Junior Overseer Bishop David McArthur Sr. Beginning at 6 p.m., a Youth Day service will be led by the youth pastor, Eric McArthur. All music will be rendered by the GHOP Choir.

at Pisgah Top

On Sunday, Pisgah Top Bible Church of God will celebrate Family and Friends Day. Morning service begins at 11:15 with the pastor, Apostle Harry Lee, preaching. The Gospel Choir will render the music.

On March 20-22, Pisgah Top will be in revival. The guest speaker will be Elder Brian Miller, pastor of Mt. Zion in Princeton. Service begins at 7:30 nightly. Different choirs will furnish the music each night.

Women’s Conference Saturday

The 2019 Women’s Conference will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held in the fellowship hall of Dunn Chapel FWB Church, 607 E. Edgerton St., Dunn. Guest speakers will be Dr. Hattie Lofton and Minister Sharon D. Holliday, authors. They will also have their books available for purchase and signing. A question-and-answer session will also be held.

The host pastor is Elder Timothy Thomas.

Ladies Community Brunch

Plate sale at Unity Presbyterian

Unity Presbyterian Church will hold a barbecue pork and barbecue chicken fundraiser March 15 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 per plate. Take out or eat in. The church is located at 11551 N.C. 50, Newton Grove.

U.S. Rally

Lillington Grove OFWB Church will celebrate its annual U.S. States Rally on March 17 at 3 p.m. at the church. They are asking everyone to come out and be a part of the program by representing or recognizing someone from your family. You are not required to speak unless you wish to do so. The pastor is Elder Coleman Elliott.

Revival at Trinity Lakeshore

Revival services at Trinity Lakeshore Pentecostal Holiness Church will be held tonight through Sunday. Services tonight and Saturday begin at 7.
