The Love Center hosting car show

The Love Center is hosting The All-America Car Show Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those who enjoy car shows and those who like to show their vehicles are invited to attend. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church which is located at 345 Jackson Road, Dunn. There will be 24 trophies for each class. The categories are drag, Ford car/truck, Chevy car/truck, Dodge/Chrysler car/truck and classic 1957 and older. There will be cash prizes. Vehicle registration fee is $25 and registration is from 8 to 10 a.m. There will also be food. For more information, contact Dr. Tony Haire at anthonyhaire@netzero.com.

The Harvesters

at New Hope Baptist

The Harvesters will be at New Hope Baptist Church Sunday at 6 p.m. A love offering will be received. Fellowship will be immediately following the service. The church is located at 293 Bethel Baptist Road, Spring Lake.

Holly Grove Harvest Day rescheduled

Due to Hurricane Florence, Holly Grove Advent Christian Church has rescheduled its Harvest Day. It will now be held this Saturday. They will serve chicken pastry or barbecue pork plates for $8 per plate Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. or until sold out. Eat-in is also available. Silent auction items can be bid on until 7 p.m. when the winners will be announced. Proceeds go towards the Building Fund.

Day at Pineview

Pineview Christian Center will celebrate Family and Friends Day Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.

The public is invited to attend and dress comfortably. The church is located at 533 Joe Collins Road in Lillington. The host pastor is Elder Adrian Ingram.

The ROC Church of God, located at U.S. 301 South, Dunn, will hold Family and Friends Day Sunday. Services start at 10:30 a.m. with the worship service at 11. The guest speakers will be Dwayne and Mary Moree. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall.

Fall Lunch

and Supper Oct. 6

Jonesboro Baptist Church will hold its Fall Lunch and Supper Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Homemade chicken pastry and barbecue pork plates will be sold for $8. Eat-in buffet, take out and drive thru will be available. Delivery for 10 or more plates will also be available.

An auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are also available to win a Blackstone 36-inch flat grill.

This event is sponsored by the Jonesboro Baptist Church youth group. The church is located at 2020 Jonesboro Road, Dunn.

Homecoming, revival at Lees Chapel AC

Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church will hold homecoming on Oct. 7 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Al Hutchings. Lunch will follow immediately after worship service in fellowship hall.

Revival services with Rev. Hutchings will be held on Oct. 8- 10 at 7:30 each night. Lees Chapel is located at 4154 N.C. 96 South, Four Oaks.

Lee’s Grove to hold homecoming

Lee’s Grove will hold homecoming Sunday. The speaker will be the Rev. Randy Barker. A covered-dish dinner will follow the service.

Pastor appreciation service Oct. 7

You are invited to join Word of Power on Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. for a pastor’s appreciation service. The guest speaker will be Bishop David Patterson from Walkers Chapel Reform Church in Dunn. Music will be provided by Ricky Simmons from Louisburg. Dinner will be served. The pastor is Felton Smith.

The church community cookout will be held Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Cameron Grove AME Zion Church. The community is invited to come and enjoy food and games. Family and Friends Day will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Cameron Grove. The speaker will be the Rev. Hanna Broome, presiding elder, Dunn-Lillington District, The AME Zion Church.

On Saturday at 5 p.m., Eldress Belinda McArthur of New Beginning Love Fellowship Ministries will speak at New Vision Christ Christian Center in Dunn. Sunday at 11 a.m., Eldress Latasha Baker will be the speaker at New Beginning Love Fellowship Ministries in Coats at the Coats Senior Center.

‘A Night Out

With The Queens’

“A Night Out With The Queens” will be held tonight at 7 at The Potters House, 4900 Bunnlevel-Erwin Road, Erwin. The theme is “Adjusting My Crown.” The guest speaker will be Pastor Tracey Williams from Kingdom Citizens Ministries. Musical guests will be Anointed For Purpose of Fayetteville, Jared Payton and the Voices, and Chris Johnson and Freedom. The presider will be Chenier McCray.

Workshop Oct. 6 at Mount Pisgah Harnett

Attorney Tenika B. Neely will give a workshop on the preparation of a will, power of attorney and estate preparation at Mount Pisgah Harnett OFWB Church. The workshop will be held Oct. 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. The church is located at 145 Prospect Church Road, Erwin.

Day of fellowship

at Harnett Chapel

A day of fellowship will be held Sunday at Harnett Chapel OFWB Church, 715 E. Edgerton St., Dunn. Fellowship will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Sutton of Middlesex delivering the word. He will be accompanied by his choir. Lunch will be served after the morning service.

After lunch, a musical program follows. The Pilgrim Travelers of Zebulon, The Gospel Tones of Raleigh and The Friendly Five of Bunnlevel are among those who will perform.

A Day of Fellowship is sponsored by the Southern Free Will Baptist Conference. Bishop Antonio C. Chrisp is presiding prelate. Elder Dr. Margaret Wilson is pastor of Harnett Chapel OFWB Church.

Pastoral anniversary celebration

Nehemiah Building Ministries will celebrate Pastor James and Lady Carla Peterkin on their 18th pastoral anniversary. The celebration will be held Oct. 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers are Pastor Cooper from Millennium Revival Center, Bishop Wayne McKoy from Star of Hope, and Assistant to the Bishop Thomas Washington of Cutts Chapel. On Saturday, a banquet will be held in their honor and Sunday at 10 a.m., Pastor Gary Gainey will close out the celebration. Everyone is welcome.

Youth program at Davis Chapel

On Saturday at 5 p.m., Davis Chapel Holiness Church will hold a youth program. The speaker will be Elder Lewis Geddie from Greater Faith and Deliverance Ministry of Dunn. All area youth are welcomed to attend. October events at Davis Chapel are as follows: Oct. 5, Davis Chapel will hold a Joy Night service. The speaker will be Minister Cathy Bell of Davis Chapel. Service time is at 7 p.m. and all are welcomed to attend. On Oct. 10-12 at 7:30 nightly, Davis Chapel will have its fall revival. There will be different speakers nightly. Because of Hurricane Florence, the revival was postponed.

The Fifth Union Weekend Saints Gathering service began Thursday at God’s House of Prayer and will continue tonight at 7:30 with Prophetess Adlay McArthur. Saturday night, the preacher will be Chief Apostle Rosa DeGraffenried of New Church of Transformation, Benson, and to conclude the gathering will be Bishop John A. Ray and congregation along with Refuge Cornerstone Choir. Service time is 11 a.m.

Homecoming Oct. 7

at Mingo Hill OFWB

On Oct. 7, Mingo Hill OFWB Church will celebrate its 126th homecoming in “Old Fashion Style” and cover dish style lunch after service. The morning service starts at 11:15. The guest speaker will be Elder Alexander Holmes, associate minister of Star of Hope OFWB Church, Sanford. All former members and any family members of former members are invited to come out and celebrate this day. The host pastor is Elder Odetta Batts.

Fifth Sunday service at Holy Mission

Holy Mission Holiness Church will hold its fifth Sunday service this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Minister Cynthia Taylor.

Holy Mission Holiness Church will celebrate its 27th church anniversary Oct. 10-14. The services will begin nightly at 7 and will close out Oct. 14 at 11:30 a.m.

at Maskil

Come celebrate one year of the miracle revival at Maskil Fellowship Church, 5341 Green Path Road, Dunn. The revival will be held tonight through Sunday night at 7:30. The speaker will be Prophet Tracy Cooke.

Trinity Lakeshore to celebrate homecoming

You’re invited to celebrate homecoming Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lakeshore PH Church. Travis and Michelle Gregory will minister in word and song.

Homecoming at Shiloh

Shiloh PH Church located at 2271 Autry Mill Road, Godwin, will host homecoming Sunday, Oct. 7. The Rev. Eddie Smith will be the speaker for the 11 a.m. service.

Special music by the Lowery Family will begin at 2 p.m. There will be dinner on the grounds.

Choir anniversary program canceled

The Riverside Community Choir anniversary program that was scheduled for Sunday at Free Will Bethel Church in Erwin has been canceled. A reschedule date will be decided upon later.
