Homecoming At Davis Chapel

Davis Chapel AME Zion Church invites you to its annual Homecoming Celebration Day Sunday. The guest speakers will be Elder Anthony Davis of Raleigh District at 11 a.m.; and the Rev. Wadell Goodman at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served.

One-Night Revival

Tonight, New Beginning Love Fellowship Ministries will hold a one-night revival at Coats Senior Citizen Center, 214 Park Lane. Service time is 7:30 p.m. The guests will be Pastor Williams and Warren Chapel Church in Dunn.

New Beginning Love Fellowship Ministries will hold morning services Sunday at 11 at the Coats Senior Center. An evening service will begin at 3. The guests will be Pastor Holland and Smith Temple Church, Raleigh. The host pastor is Larry Baker.

VBS At New Zealand Church

Vacation Bible School will be held at New Zealand Church Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. A light breakfast will be at 9 a.m. and a pizza lunch at 1 p.m. The theme is “Jesus is my Anchor.” There will be Bible lessons, music class, crafts and snowballs. There will also be a water slide from 3 to 5 p.m. Bring shorts and a T-shirt.

The church is located in the Meadow community at 5312 Meadowbrook Road.

Prophetic & Healing Revival

Purpose and Power Outreach Ministry in collaboration with J.L. Smith Ministries will present a Prophetic & Healing Revival Aug. 12-17 at 7:30 nightly. The event will be held at Shiloh Christian Church, 211 Durham St., Smithfield.

The speakers will be Pastor Marshall Blackmond, Bishop George G. Bloomer and Prophet Bernard Owusu Ansa of Ghana, Africa. Also featured will be national recording artist Jekalyn Carr.

Pastor Anniversary Celebration

Sunday will be Dr. Alexander McArthur’s fifth anniversary at Pleasant Grove FWB Church. There will be an 11 a.m. service with Minister Rena Sutton, Union Hill Community Church and Choir. Lunch will be served. At 3 p.m. there will be a service rendered by District Elder Kirby Haire, Piney Grove Church and Choir.

Dinner Theater Set Saturday

Avery Grove AME Zion Church will present a dinner theater Saturday at 4 p.m. at the church, 2391 Freedom Road, Smithfield. Tickets are $15.

Upcoming Events At Spring Hill

Saturday at 5 p.m., Spring Hill Mass Choir will celebrate its anniversary.

Revival will be held Aug. 15-17 at Spring Hill FWB Church. Service time is 7 nightly. Speakers will be Dr. Glenda Farmer, Shady Grove, Aug. 15; the Rev. Aekins, Bethlehem, Aug. 16; and Elder Alexander McArthur, Smith Grove, Aug. 17.

Spring Hill FWB Church will observe its annual Men’s Day Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. That afternoon at 3, Pastor Troy Williams and St. Timothy Church will render a service, along with Second Chance gospel group.

‘Back 2 School Revival’

A “Back 2 School Revival” will be held through Sunday at Nehemiah Building Ministries. The speaker tonight at 7:30 will be Minister Quaveon Richardson of Clifton Chapel Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. Saturday at 1 p.m., Minister Charity Williams of Greater St. Paul United Holy Church will speak. Evangelist Jeffery Howard of Andrews Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will be the speaker Sunday at 10 a.m. Musical guests will be The Younger Voices Choir, Lillington Grove Youth Choir and Young Warriors Praise Team.

Saturday, there will be a cookout (hot dogs and hamburgers) at 1 p.m. and a “Bookbag Bash” while supplies last. The cost is $1.

Clement COGOP Yard Sale Saturday

Clement Church of God of Prophecy, 3990 Maxwell Road, Autryville, will participate in the Maxwell Road Endless Yard Sale Saturday. There will be sausage dogs for sale starting at 7 a.m. Home-cooked barbecue sandwiches and hot dogs will be available for sale starting at 10 a.m. Also available for purchase will be chips, drinks, bottled water and desserts and sweets. Barbecue, Auction Benefit Saturday

A barbecue pork and auction benefit for Kellie and Robert “Bert” Blackmon will be held Saturday at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church, 1771 N.C. 50 South, Benson. They will serve from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the auction begins at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per plate. Raffle drawings will be at 7:15 p.m.

Convention Underway At Mount Zion Christian

Pisgah Top Bible Church of God will continue homecoming services tonight at 7:30. The guest speaker will be Elder James Bates of McKoy’s Chapel FWB Church, Coats. The choir will furnish the music. God’s House Of Prayer News

God’s House of Prayer will hold a Joy Night service tonight at 7:30 at the Benson location, The New Church of Transformation, 111 Market St., where Apostle Rosa DeGraffenried is the pastor. The speaker will be a member of the ministerial staff.

Family and Friends Day scheduled for Sunday will be omitted due to the fact that a Youth Fellowship service will be held at Refuge Cornerstone Church in Red Springs where the pastor is John Ray. Service time is 11:30 a.m. The preacher will be Junior Prophet David McArthur Jr. He will be accompanied by the GHOP Choir.

Back-To-School Party Aug. 18

There will be a back-to-school party Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at Falcon Church of God of Prophecy, 7141 Smithfield Road, Godwin. The first 25 kids will get back-to-school supplies. Refreshments will be served. Sarah Reid is the youth director and Samuel Hall is the pastor.

Ushers Anniversary At McKoy’s Chapel

McKoy’s Chapel ushers will celebrate their anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. Pastor M. Williams and his congregation from St. James Disciples Church in Benson will render the service. Elder James E. Baker is the pastor. The church is located at 1986 Old Stage Road and all are invited.
