The Daily Record is in the process of launching a new website this week; it is designed, among other things, to be more mobile-friendly than our old site. And through the month of June, access to the site will be free for all. After that, it will continue to be free for our print subscribers. There are still digital-only subscriptions. You can subscribe online, which should be easier now, or call our office at 910-891-1234. Non-subscribers will be able to access five articles for free each month. And access to obituaries, special sections and classified advertising will continue to be free.
You can still place your classifieds online. Listing classifieds are more simplified with a user-friendly platform. In addition, viewing classifieds can be done with fewer clicks.
You can submit Sound Offs via the website now under the Opinion tab at the top.
Once everything on the website is updated, users will have access to archives. There is still an e-edition for viewers who like to read the paper online that way. There is also a new feature — interactive sudoku and crossword puzzles. You can play online or print it out.
On articles, you’ll find maps of locations. Also, mug shots from detention centers in Harnett, Johnston and Sampson counties are still included.
You can send in news in any category under contact us — tabs are at the top and bottom.
We’ll continue to improve the website as time goes on. For suggestions, call 910-891-1234 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The website address is www.mydailyrecord.com.
