CCCC Phi Beta Lambda participates in PBL National Leadership Conference

SANFORD — The Central Carolina Community College Phi Beta Lambda Chapter participated in the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

The college’s PBL Chapter received national recognition with the following honors: Gold Seal, Gold Star, The Leadership Legacy Award, and Career and Membership Achievement Program’s Outstanding Chapter.

Central Carolina’s PBL advisers Michael Fann and Pam Riddle attended the conference.

Eighteen Central Carolina PBL members qualified for the national event after qualifying by finishing first or second in his or her event at the State Leadership Conference in Charlotte. Of the 18 students, 16 placed among the top nationally in 13 events, including 11 members who placed in two events in the Top 10.

  • Third Place, Integrated Marketing Plan — Sarah Salvador of Sanford.
  • Fourth Place, Economic Analysis & Decision Making — Ashley Quincin and Mackenzie Roche, both of Sanford.
  • Fourth Place, Parliamentary Procedure — Shishir Desai, Carolina Moscoso, Faith Richmond and Ellen White, all of Sanford.
  • Fifth Place, Computer Animation — Aiden McLaughlin of Broadway.
  • Fifth Place, Management Analysis & Decision Making — Zachary Gordon of Sanford and Bryce Tricas of Chapel Hill.
  • Sixth Place, Financial Services — Dylan Hargis of Angier and Keyon Jones of Fayetteville.
  • Seventh Place, Business Sustainability — Shishir Desai and Mackenzie Roche, both of Sanford.
  • Seventh Place, Computer Concepts — Richard Morton of Sanford.
  • Seventh Place, Marketing Analysis & Decision Making — Zachary Gordon of Sanford and Dylan Hargis of Angier.
  • Eighth Place, Financial Services — Carolina Moscoso, Faith Richmond and Ellen White, all of Sanford.
  • Eighth Place, Parliamentary Procedure — Suzy Brito, Samantha Cochran and Jennifer Hernandez, all of Sanford, and Aiden McLaughlin of Broadway.
  • Ninth Place, Justice Administration — Ashley Quincin of Sanford.
  • Tenth Place, Social Media Challenge — Suzy Brito and Jennifer Hernandez, both of Sanford.
