Camp Change to be held in July

The 2019 Camp Change theme is “Change Makers” and children will use their all their creativity to bring their own businesses to life to support international missions. Dates this year will be July 15-19. The cost is $35 including a T-shirt.

Camp Change Ministries was founded at Antioch Baptist Church three years ago within the Little River Baptist Association and has grown and developed over three years. They are seeking partnerships with other churches to help continue the development of Camp Change. They have a goal to reach children and families within the community and all over the world, to help create an environment for church leaders to engage with children and families in the community on faith, finances, poverty and mission work.

Each year they plan to develop a new curriculum. This year the theme is “Change Makers” and children will use their imaginations to create their own business plans that will support international missions. Children will learn money concepts such as tendering money, planning, budgeting, and the exchange rate to create their projects which will make a change in the lives of people in other countries such as South Africa, Uganda, Indonesia, China, Venezuela and Nepal.

Leaders will walk children through the whole development process and hold a community craft market on Friday. Children will display the products they planned for and made to sell, and all proceeds will go back to support international missions. This will be in addition to Biblical content, money lessons, games, skits and, of course, the fun that kids have come to love and expect at Camp Change.

They need support of the community to make this Camp Change Market day a successful event. They are not only teaching children valuable lessons regarding faith and finances but also about how they can make a difference in the lives of others.

They encourage you to bring cash so children can practice their counting skills.
