Campbell will be featured at least 10 times on ESPN platforms during the 2018 football season, as announced by the Big South Conference.
The Camels, who are making their debut as a Big South football member in 2018, will be a part of the conference’s football television broadcast schedule on ESPN3 and ESPN+ that will total at least 33 broadcasts -- eight telecasts on ESPN3 and a minimum of 25 Big South Network productions on ESPN+ throughout the season.
The package is part of a seven-year extension to the Big South’s media rights deal that will see close to 1,000 conference events carried on ESPN networks -- including a minimum 900 events each year on ESPN+, which launched in April. The Big South announced the extension at its annual football media day in Charlotte.
The comprehensive new deal makes ESPN+ the exclusive streaming home of Big South Network productions and features exclusive regular season and Big South Championship broadcasts, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and lacrosse, baseball and softball.
Campbell will be featured at least twice in the Big South’s ESPN3 “Game of the Week” package, beginning with its Big South opener at Monmouth on Oct. 20. One week later, the Camels will host Gardner-Webb as the league’s “Game of the Week” on ESPN3. The Big South’s ESPN3 “Game of the Week” follows each week through the conclusion of the regular-season on Nov. 17, which will be a “Wild Card” selection determined 14-21 days in advance.
Each of Campbell’s remaining home games, as well as Big South road matchups, will be available on ESPN+.
