Best Washerette Celebrates With Ribbon Cutting

Posted

Best Washerette of Dunn, located at 1303 N. Ellis Ave., celebrated its joining the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting last week. Owners Curtis and Mary Grey Godwin, as well as Sharon, Brendan and Magan Johnson, purchased the business several years ago and invested in new equipment. They also have four other Best Washerettes in the area — one in Angier, one in Goldsboro and two in Mount Olive. 'Anywhere in 100 miles, if you get dirty laundry, we'll wash it,' Mr. Godwin said. From left are Irene Ray, customer; Lee Honeycutt, chamber ambassador; Dunn Mayor Oscar Harris; Mr. Godwin; Samantha McNeill, customer; Mrs. Godwin; Sharon Johnson, owner; and Renee Jackson, Dunn Chamber president-elect. Not pictured are Brendan and Magan Johnson.
