Arnette Turnage Johnson, 80, of 103 E. Sanders St., Four Oaks, died Saturday, July 23, 2018, at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Mrs. Johnson was born on Oct. 15, 1937, in Johnston County to the late Henry Sylvester and Ethel Baker Turnage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gene Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a retired school teacher and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Four Oaks.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. The Rev. David Little will officiate. Burial will follow in Four Oaks City Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Brian Johnson and wife Wanda of Benson; daughter, Becky Johnson of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Daniel Baker and wife Lindsay, Amanda Johnson and husband Matt, Andrew Baker and wife Brittany and Joshua Johnson; great-grandson, Jude Johnson; brothers, Henry Turnage of Newport, David Turnage of Smithfield and Tom Turnage of Kenly; sister, Sara Mills of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Flowers are welcome, however, the family suggests memorials to the Wednesday Night Dinner Program at First Baptist Church of Four Oaks, P.O. Box 717, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
