NORTH CAROLINA HARNETT COUNTY IN THE MATTER OF THE REMOVAL AND RELOCATION OF APPROXIMATELY TWENTY-SIX (26) GRAVES FROM THE TAYLOR CEMETERY LOCATED ON PROPERTY NOW OR FORMERLY OWNED BY THE UNKNOWN HEIRS OF GALVESTON HINSON AND ELIZABETH S. HINSON LOCATED IN HARNETT COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA,STATE PROJECT/WBS NO. 53078.2.2, PARCEL NO. 904, I.D. NO. I- 5878. NOTICE Notice is hereby given to the known and unknown relatives of those persons buried in approximately 26 graves in the Taylor Cemetery located on property now or formerly owned by the Unknown Heirs of Galveston Hinson and Elizabeth S. Hinson, and located in Harnett County, North Carolina, found within the right of way of State Project/WBS No. 53078.2.2, Parcel No. 904, I.D. No. I-5878; that said Taylor Cemetery is located at or near the I-95 Interchanges at US 421 (Exit 73) and SR 1793 (Pope Road) (Exit 72) in Harnett County, North Carolina; that the names of the known deceased persons to be moved are: Eugenia Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Martha J. Taylor, Isaac-William Taylor, Callie Taylor Johnson, Ann Taylor, Mary (wife of J.E. Jordan), James E. Jordan, E. F. Smith, Alice Smith, Augusta Hodges, Jimme F. Hodges; that there are also 14 unmarked and/or unknown graves to be moved; that the Department of Transportation has not been unable to ascertain the closest next of kin or the only known relatives for the named deceased persons; that the subject graves to be moved will be relocated and re-interred to the Veterans Memorial Cemetery and/or the Greenwood Cemetery in Harnett County, North Carolina; that a complete record of where the approximately 26 subject graves of the known and unknown deceased persons will be re-interred will be on file with the Register of Deeds of Harnett County, North Carolina. You are further notified that there are approximately 26 graves found within the Taylor Cemetery which are being moved and the Department of Transportation will be responsible for all reasonable expenses pertaining under the provisions of North Carolina General Statute § 65-106 and that the removal will begin after this notice has been published once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks over a period of thirty (30) days in the The Daily Record newspaper in Harnett County, North Carolina; in The News & Observer newspaper in Wake County, North Carolina; and in The Fayetteville Observer newspaper in Cumberland County, North Carolina.
